The Vienna BioInvasions team had the pleasure of hosting this year’s
annual MOTIVATE project meeting, welcoming partners and collaborators
for several days of intensive exchange and discussion. The programme
highlighted recent progress across the consortium, with presentations
spanning topics from remote sensing approaches, stakeholder needs,
sampling protocols and occupancy modelling, focussing on how vegetation
plot data can strengthen large-scale biodiversity monitoring. Beyond the
scientific sessions, the meeting provided valuable space to refine joint
strategies, align upcoming analyses, and foster collaboration across
