Visiting Researcher – Anna Walentowitz

We welcome Anna Walentowitz, who is doing her post-doc at University of Bayreuth in Germany. In her research she focuses on island biogeography and invasion ecology. She is currently working on the homogenization of plant communities on islands (globally) over the last 5000 years.

During her stay she gave a talk on her work on “How do we humans impact insular plant diversity in the long run?” and worked on a manuscript on the homogenization of plant communities on islands in collaboration with Franz Essl, Bernd Lenzner, Fabio Mologni and others of the BioInvasions Division.
