We welcome Gabriel Petuel as a visiting researcher at our division.
Gabriel is a PhD candidate at the Czech Academy of Sciences and the University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice. He is currently working on his PhD thesis on “The role of alien plant species in tropical rainforest succession in Papua New Guinea”.
Within his research he will particularly focus on understanding the dynamics of alien and invasive alien plants in the biodiversity hotspot of Papua New Guinea, understanding succession patterns and its implications for nature conservation. We are looking forward to many interesting discussions and collaborations throughout his six-weeks stay.
